Sheldon
Sheldon is a good-hearted, sensible monster who has spent nearly his entire life hidden inside a mattress store. He remembers little of his life before the store, except for a few faint memories that hint at a lost family and a past he doesn’t fully understand.
During the day, Sheldon stays hidden and sleeps. At night, the store becomes his world. He loves lying on top of the beds, where his imagination carries him far beyond the walls of the showroom. His daydreams are filled with adventure, companionship, and purpose—the very things missing from his life.
His only real companion is Digs, an alley cat who visits each night. Unlike Sheldon, Digs is confident, independent, and king of his own little world. Their conversations make Sheldon increasingly aware that simply dreaming about a bigger life is no longer enough.
Curiosity gradually pushes Sheldon to take greater risks and venture closer to the outside world. Nearly being discovered should frighten him, but instead the excitement awakens an adventurous side he never knew he had.
Sheldon is likable, playful, curious, and hopeful, but his greatest struggle is that he doesn’t know who he is, where he came from, or where he belongs. Certain beds—especially the mysterious bed that originally brought him to the store—can trigger faint memories of his family and past.
Ultimately, Sheldon wants more than a safe place to hide. He wants a life worth living—and the chance to discover who he was meant to be.
